Katy Hessel is an art historian, curator, and author of the international bestseller The Story of Art Without Men (2022). She has run the @thegreatwomenartists Instagram account since 2015; hosts The Great Women Artists podcast, where she has interviewed artists including Marina Abramović and Tracey Emin; and writes a fortnightly column for The Guardian. She has lectured across the globe, including at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Tate, and presented for the BBC and BBC Radio 3 & 4. She is a Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge and a Trustee of Charleston, the former home of the Bloomsbury Group.
